Rotavirus is the major causative agent of severe gastroenteritis in infants and young children. More than a million children die every year because of rotaviral gastroenteritis.

Rotavirus has a rather large and complex architecture. Our structural studies have provided significant insight into some of the biological processes of the virus such as cell entry, neutralization, transcription, and assembly.
