Each invited guest provided a 20 minute presentation that described their research and added suggestions on collaboration between their research our center.

Grand challenges for Nanomedicine and Nanobiology	08/27/07	8:30 am -4:30 pm	Trevisio's	The NSF funded Center for Biological and Environmental Nanoscience (CBEN) at Rice University and the NIH funded Protein Folding Machinery Nanomedicine Development Center at Baylor College of Medicine are sponsoring a one-day workshop on “Grand challenges for nanomedicine and nanobiology” for local researchers. The program will begin with presentations from program managers in NIH and NSF who fund in this area, and will transition to small group work on various areas of collaborations identified by the participants ahead of time. The workshop is for the participant's to develop a better understanding of funding in this area, meet possible collaborators interested in this problem, and explore a focused topic of your choosing with people of similar interests.
Protein Folding Center 2nd Annual Retreat	05/28/07	2:00 pm	Stanford University	Annual two-day retreat at Stanford University. Retreat was attended by 55 participants including all the PIs. Presentations and discussion regarding the progress and future findings of the Protein Folding Center.
Nanomedicine Development Center First Annual Awardee Meeting	03/01/07	All Day	Bethesda, MD	First annual NDC Network all-hands meeting. Meeting was regarding the long-term goal of "Pathway to Medicine" and the Nanomedicine Roadmap initiative is to exploit detailed information on the design of molecules and supramolecular assemblies in living cells to improve human health.
