Welcome To The AIRS FAQ
Q: Why can’t I see the AIRS modules?
A: Make sure you followed the startup directions and added the EMAN/chimeraext directory to the locations tab in Favorites>Preferences>Tools.
Q: Why don’t the AIRS modules work?
A: Make sure that you are using the latest version of EMAN and Chimera. If both were installed according to directions, check to see that Numeric and Scientific Python have been installed properly. Also make sure that you are using Python 2.4 or newer.
Q: Can I use AIRS without Chimera?
A: All AIRS programs are included as part of EMAN and are available from the command line.
Q: Do you have a tutorial on how to use the programs.
A: A brief walkthrough will be available shortly by clicking on the AIRS dialog logo. Individual programs have brief descriptions and a how-to section which can be accesse by clicking on the “Help” button.
Q: Does AIRS do “xxxxx”?
A: AIRS is under active development. Any feature requests can be directed to Matthew Baker at mbaker@bcm.tmc.edu.
